Using Press Releases To Get Traffic And Build Links To Your Website

One of the most powerful ways to bring traffic into a website and build links is to use press releases.

If you’re using online methods to distribute your press release, you’ll find that every time you submit on, it will bring in both traffic and links.

Even if your press release doesn’t generate any interest from reporters, it will still help your website.

A great press release can completely change your business and bring in a flood of traffic, links, and even get you on CNBC or Oprah.

Even when given all the benefits of press releases, however, most people will never use them.

They have a list of excuses that include: I don’t have anything newsworthy; My business is different; I don’t know how to write a press release; and this one really befuddles me – because someone might actually call them and want to interview them – they’d have to *gasp* actually talk about their business to someone.

Of course, they’re just that – excuses. Coming up with something newsworthy is relatively easy. Any business can benefit from the use of press releases, they’re even relatively easy to write. For those who are afraid you might actually have to talk to someone, though, I’m not sure what to tell you – a lot of times, no reporters will call, but they might.

Here’s a few tips for successful press releases.

1) Headlines Are Vital

Just like a great headline can make or break a salesletter, the headline of your press release can make or break it. If your headline doesn’t grab someone’s attention, then it doesn’t matter how great the rest of your press release is because nobody’s going to read it. If you need help coming up with headlines, just go to your library and look at the headlines of magazines and newspapers. You’ll find plenty of great headlines within their pages.

2) Not An Advertisement

Remember that your press release is not an advertisement. While you can certainly use them to promote a new product or service in your business, the actual press release should read like it’s being written by a neutral third party. Think of yourself as the reporter writing the story about the product, why it was created, and a little history. Don’t hype up the product, just give them the facts.

3) Quotes

Have you ever noticed how just about every article you read in a newspaper has a quote from one person or multiple people? That’s because quotes make your stories more interesting. Always include a quote from someone in your press release, even if the only person you can quote is yourself.

So next time you’re looking for to get more traffic or links to your website, give the press release a try.

Can I Learn To Drive Traffic To My Website?

I know… in today’s busy society, who has the time to drive traffic? Most of us are just trying to make a few extra dollars to keep our heads above water. Well friends, I am here to tell you that there are methods to drive traffic that anyone can do. Best of all these methods are time efficient and inexpensive. The methods are: traffic exchanges and forums. Individually each method will work, but combining both methods can make it possible to drive significant traffic to your site. Now it is not going to happen over night; but if you stick with it, it will happen.

Generally speaking, traffic exchanges are free or relatively inexpensive. To make a traffic exchange worth while, your goal should be to create five-thousand or more credits and run multiple ads. Yes, creating this many credits can become a little time consuming. The way to get around this is to purchase them or upgrade to pro status. Recruiting members into traffic exchanges also earns you extra credits. The only problem here is that you will not be able to directly recruit the majority of the people that view your ads because most of them are already members of the traffic exchange. There are three ways to solve this, one is to join more than one exchange and cross advertise, another is to advertise your primary business through the traffic exchange and then expose your recruits to the method that you used to recruit them (also known as building a list), and the third is to use a viral traffic exchange program that combines many exchanges under one umbrella. These programs are great because they can simultaneously create many credits in multiple traffic exchanges.

Forums, like traffic exchanges, are also free. You can find a great deal of them by doing a search on your favorite search engine. Just type in the word ‘forum’ and you will see what I mean. There are thousands of forums out there on the net. Once you have done your search and found a few that you like, you simply sign up, create a sig file and begin to naturally contribute to the forum conversations. This will create exposure for your website. To maximize this exposure, it is a good idea to post at least five posts per day. A great thing to remember about forums is that your posts are on the board for the life of the forum. So, many years from now, you may recruit a person from a post that you posted yesterday.

Driving traffic to your site is not easy but it is worth it. So if it seems that your traffic driving methods are not working, stick with them. With a little patience and persistence, you will surprise yourself with the amount of traffic that you can drive to your site.

How Hard Is Affiliate Marketing Going To Be

When I first started my Internet career I chose the affiliate marketing business, because I thought it was a great way to get started making money online. In retrospect I wish someone would have told me how hard it was going to be to make money with an affiliate business.

By hard, I mean difficult in learning the skills when it comes the building and affiliate marketing business. Many of the ads you see online talk about how easy it is to make money with affiliate marketing.

What I am finding out is that it is extremely difficult in the first few months, because there are so many things to learn that it almost is overwhelming. I can see why 95% of the people fail, because it just gets to be too frustrating.

You can thank me right now for telling is that affiliate marketing is going to be hard at first. The good news is that it does get easier!  It gets easier because you learn a few things that are necessary to be successful.

If you’re not very proficient on the computer you’re going to need to learn a few basics on that.  If you do not know how to get traffic to a website, you’re going to have to learn that.

For some of you, you are even going to have to decide what products to sell.  Although these are exciting times they are frustrating when your efforts do not bring the money in every day.

The best advice I can give you is hanging in there. It will get easier.
